Stories of H.O.P.E.

H.O.P.E.'s concept of women empowerment comprising of the four building blocks Educate, Enable, Facilitate and Intervene helps to ensure longterm and sustainable development of women and their families.  Even more than the facts and figures it is the stories that illustrate the success of this approach. Late Sr. Noelline Pinto, the founder of H.O.P.E., had thousands of stories to tell. Here are some of her inspirations we carry forward.

Chaya's Story
My name is Chaya. I am 48 years old and I am a single mother of four daughters. When I first met H.O.P.E., I was desperate. My husband had left me, leaving me without any money. I was a casual worker and my wages were about 400 Rupees per month. more...
